U.S. state secretary set to discuss cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will discuss bilateral cooperation with the leadership of Kyrgyzstan Tuesday, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

During the first stop on her four-day Central Asian tour, Rice will meet with Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, Prime Minister Felix Kulov, Foreign Minister Alikbek Dzhekshenkulov and other officials to discuss global and regional security, international terrorism, Afghanistan and the status of a U.S. military base in Kyrgyzstan.

Rice will also discuss democracy, constitutional and economic reforms with members of the Kyrgyz parliament, government, public organizations and leaders of political parties.
