Akayev's daughter returns to Bishkek

Askar Akayev's daughter Bermet Akayeva returned to Bishkek, subsequently attending the Kyrgyz Parliament's session.
Bermet Akayeva unexpectedly entered the Parliament building at about 10.00 a.m. here today, surprising deputies and journalists alike and taking her seat in the conference hall. Akayev's older daughter and son made it to the republican Parliament during the latest March 24 elections that took place just before the Kyrgyz leader's ouster.
Replying to journalists' questions, Bermet Akayeva noted that she did not fear reprisals on the part of new authorities, and that she intended to take part in Kyrgyzstan's public life.
