After weeks of speculation, Apple has finally taken the wraps off its new hi-tech gadget. The highly-anticipated touchscreen ‘iPad’ aims to bridge the gap between smartphones and laptops. Apple boss Steve Jobs presented his firm’s biggest product launch since the iPhone three years ago.
The ‘iPad’ tablet computer has a nearly 25cm screen. With a plethora of media applications, it can be used to browse the web as well as look at films, books, games and photographs. Despite the buzz, it is still unclear how keen consumers will be to snap up the ‘iPad’ which will go on sale in the US from the equivalent of 350 euros.
